Please Vote for Writing Fellow Programs in Germany!

Dear colleagues,

Could you please assist us to win a contest for excellence in teaching? It will take just one minute.

In winter semester 2013/2014, the writing centers of European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder) and of Goethe University in Frankfurt/Main started the first writing fellow programs in Germany. Peer tutors, educated as writing fellows, support writing intensive classes in various disciplines. They provide feedback for the teacher’s assignments as well as for the students’ texts.

In August 2014, the “Stifterverband”, a consortium of several foundations, honored the programs with a nomination called “Hochschulperle” (Pearl/treasure of the university). Until January 25th, people can vote for one of the twelve nominations of 2014 to select the winner of the year. It would be wonderful to get your vote as a support for the growing importance of writing center work in Germany. The price would be an incredible help to make writing centers and their work more visible.

Here is the link to the contest (choose “writing Fellows”).

Sorry that the homepage and video clip are in German. If you need more detailed information about writing fellow programs in English, we suggest visiting the homepage of the writing fellow program of UW Madison, our partners in setting up our programs.

Please spread the word!

Thank you so much for your support!

Katrin Girgensohn, Franziska Liebetanz, Anja Voigt, Stephanie Dreyfürst, Nadja Sennewald on behalf of the writing fellow programs in Frankfurt & Frankfurt

PS: Voting every day is allowed…
