GREAT MOMENTS IN WRITING LAB HISTORY
In the early 1980s, Willam Demaree drew these cartoons for the Writing Lab Newsletter. They are reprinted here for the enjoyment of the Writing Center community, but should not be printed outside of this website or Newsletter without permission.
Note that the cartoon is not meant to be of a writing center tutor. Rather, think of the cartoon as representing an instructor whose students we hope never come to the center. Or, think of it as representing the tutor no writing center would ever hire. Or, don't think about it too much and simply enjoy the humor.
